Exam C1000-205: IBM Maximo Manage v9 Work Management - Associate

IBM’s 3 Courses: 

1. DLP-DL25606G – Retiring Soon (4 hours – Free) Maximo Application Suite Manage: Introduction 

2. ITS-MAX4350G - Maximo Manage: Fundamentals of Work Management (6 hours - $895.00) 

3. ITS-MAS4352G - Maximo Manage: Advanced Work Management (6 hours – offered over 2 days with ascendant learning for $1,790.00) 

Exam Objectives

This user is responsible for the daily creation, management, and processing of work in IBM Maximo Manage v9.0. They have a broad understanding of the Work Management applications. This individual can perform these tasks with limited assistance from peers, product documentation, and support resources. 

Section 1: Creation and Assignment of Work Orders - 27%

  • Create Work order – from asset, work order tracking, service request, and quick reporting applications. 
  • Select Job Plan and Safety Plan on a new work order.  Plan Resources to perform the work by craft, quantity, and hours.
  • Setup Work Order Hierarchy, understand cost roll-ups in work order hierarchies, add and remove work orders from hierarchies.
  • Create Work Order Assignments using the planned craft and assignments tab on the work order (not in Lead and Supervisor fields!)
  • Add Problem Code to work order based on the location or asset failure class. 

Section 2: Execution of Work Orders - 29%

  • Compile Communication to Requester, use existing communication templates, create communication templates.
  • Describe the relationships and navigation between Work Order and other related records (follow-up work orders, service requests, related work orders, and workorder hierarchy)
  • Connect Related Work Order - Manually  Enter Meter readings on locations and assets from the work order record
  • Report Downtime on assets from the work order record
  • Add Work Logs, what are the different types for? What does the visible checkbox do?
  • Add Actuals to work order: Labor, Materials, Tools, and Services
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout from the work order.
  • Understand the Failure Class hierarchy of problem, cause, remedy.
  • Process Multi-Asset Work order
  • Process Work Order with Workflow

Section 3: Work Order Completion - 18%

  • Review Actual costs vs. planned costs on work order
  • Change Status of a Work Order, understand all out of the box statuses, what a synonym domain is, what statuses allow you to move forward only and which ones allow you to move back. 
  • Which statuses allow you to add labor, attachments, change location and asset, etc. 

Section 4: Role Based Applications and Dashboards - 19%

  • Manage work from the Dashboard
  • Use the Work Orders (RBA) application
  • Use the Technician (RBA) application
  • Use the Inspections (RBA) application
  • Perform Inferencing for Problem Code suggestion

Section 5: User Profile Settings - 7%

  • User Profile Settings – what user profile settings are required to create a work order? Which ones affect the creation and processing of a work order?
